Repair works of the motorway section from Luhansk to Donetsk are 70% completed

This year's plans include redeveloping more than 40 kilometers of roadbed along the Starobelsk-Lugansk-Krasniy Luch-Makeyevka-Donetsk motorway running across the territory of the Lugansk People's Republic. On average, the motorway is about 70% ready. Binder installation is nearing completion, and half of the planned volumes of blacktop have already been laid.

Meanwhile, infrastructure development works are underway: about 13 km of curbstone out of 36 planned have already been installed. In the future, the road builders are to install 46 bus stop shelters, over 7 km of barrier fencing and about 2.300 road signs. Besides, works on reinforcement of the roadside, slope leveling and landscaping of the adjacent area are carried on.

This scope of works will ensure seamless road connection between Donetsk and Lugansk by the end of this year.
